If you haven't seenThe Boy in Striped Pajamas, you should. I'll say upfront, it is a very sad movie and is the kind of movie that will stick with you for awhile. It's also a film that will make you think. It's about a boy whose father runs a concentration camp, though he doesn't really know or understand that. Through the course of events, the boy becomes friends with a Jewish boy imprisoned in the "work camp," and he struggles to figure out why the Jewish boy is in prison.
It is not a movie for younger kids, but I'm glad Liz and Will watched it with us...it gives them a look into what the Holocaust was all about. Click on the title of this blog (MOVIE) to see the movie poster.
